Description

Join health experts involved in updating the ACOEM Clinical Guideline for Shoulder Disorders that were recently released and are available on MDGuidelines. Speakers will provide case-based examples of changes in recommended care for shoulder disorders including interesting findings from the latest medical literature, and how to apply these recommendations when caring for injured workers or reviewing evidence-based treatments.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
  • Describe the different sections of the ACOEM Clinical Guideline that can be referenced when considering or reviewing patient care.
  • Explain how using evidence-based medicine supports providing the best treatment.
  • Discuss the importance of communication between clinicians, physical therapists, employers, and the patient when supporting a return to work for those with shoulder disorders.
