Anxiety disorders are the most prevalent mental health conditions, affecting approximately 40 million Americans (18%) each year. This session will provide an overview of anxiety disorders and review the latest evidence-based recommendations for evaluating and treating anxiety disorders from ACOEM’s recent practice guideline. Drs. Pamela Warren and Daniel Bruns, co-chairs of ACOEM's Workplace Mental Health Panel, will discuss who should use the guideline, how to apply the guideline in clinical care, and how evidence-based medicine can improve patient outcomes for those with anxiety disorders.
