Webinar Recording: Self-Reported Measures in Disability/Impairment Evaluations Presented by ACOEM's Work Fitness and Disability Section
Description

The panelists in this webinar will share their experience with the use of self-report measures as a way for third party examiners to enrich their assessments of functional impairment and work ability when conducting formal disability and impairment evaluations.   The session will focus on the selection, use, and interpretation of examinee-completed instruments or questionnaires -- as well as the integration of that data with examiner-elicited history, observations, physical examination and medical record review.   This session will be useful to those who perform as well as those who rely on third party examinations.   Interactive Q&A will end the session.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
  • Name two ways that including self-report measures can strengthen your formal reports.
  • Name two risks to avoid -- because self-report measures can also weaken your formal reports
  • Describe key features that distinguish high quality vs low quality self-report measures.
  • Describe the main operational challenges to implementing self-report measures.
