Description and Instructions

Travel for work has increased post COVID19 pandemic. This coincides with an explosion of known and emerging pathogens propelled by a changing climate. This webinar will delve into the current international infectious diseases trends​. New and upcoming vaccines against vector borne diseases will be discussed. The lecture will also provide a systematic way to assess risk of​ pathogens transmitted through food​/ water​, air​, and ​direct ​contact and ​will offer guidance on adequate pre-travel preparation to mitigate these risks.


Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, learners should be able to:

  • Summarize current infectious diseases trends of known and emerging pathogens propelled by climate change
  • Assess infectious diseases risk of travelers for work in a systematic way
  •  Select appropriate established  travel related vaccines / boosters and prepare for upcoming vaccine development
